Any computer connected to the Internet needs to be protected from
viruses, worms, and other intrusions. The Internet is an open playground
for budding hackers.
Some Netrack Internet services are behind a firewall. While a
firewall is a good first level of protection, nothing is 100%.
Not all security breaches come through Internet packet sessions
that a firewall can block. They can come through email messages,
software vulnerabilities like in your browser, or file shares from
other computers on your local lan behind the firewall. Every
Windows computer with Internet connectivity should have protection
software installed.
We suggest the following areas of protection and products as
a bare minimum for any Windows computer connected to the Internet:
- Virus/Worm Protection
-
McAfee VirusScan
or
Trend Micro PC-cillin, All-in-one antivirus security, personal firewall, and PDA protection -- $10 off!
- Security and Personal Firewall
-
ZoneAlarm Free Download

- Privacy
- Spybot Search and Destroy
Ad-aware
CWShredder
- Hijack Recovery
- Browser Hijack Recover (BHR)
