Run the normal setup routine using the CDROM that came with the
modem. Where it prompts for information, enter the following:
- Select PPP for all new setups not bridging!
- Leave username and password blank.
- For phone number (or vpi,vci) use 0,3 (For connections made prior to Apr '01 use 1,1).
- Set computer to use the IP address that would normally be programmed
into external modem and provided by Netrack.
If the modem is not operating properly, even if it passes its diagnotics,
follow these procedures:
- In the System Control Panel, select the Device Manager. Remove everything
for the Intel adapter including management control.
- Run the uninstall program from the CDROM for the Intel modem.
- Re-install the Intel modem using the CDROM an the instructions above.
